After Christmas Sales=Heaven

My mom finds the coolest things after Christmas. Now I don't know if the cool Revlon parfumerie polishes had additional discounts but I know I wasn't going to find them or get them for under 4 bucks IF I found them! So long story short, my mom got me just about every shade except for yellow. I really wanted yellow but there was no yellow:( Oh well. I did get the very pretty green with blue specks. So excited to paint my nails for new years! Right now Im wearing the hot pink shade.
I told myself I wasn't adding anymore to my collection but for this price I will any day!

So many wonderful products to write about here but I'll probably wait for the new year to talk about them! I've just replaced my body wash and its incredible. It smells so heavenly and its under 20 bucks. My scrub is so close to empty I might just finish it up, use the honey girl one and then replacing it with one of the two top choices. By now you know what those are. Highly recommend exfoliating once a week. Do it before a big get-together or date, interview. Every time I use the exfoliKate everyone asks me why my skin is so clear and glowing!

Happy Day After..

I must say this Christmas was by far the best. I actually wanted to switch things up so I asked for things I actually use and running short of OR things that are useful. I got a tube of Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer(yay)some amazing travel items I've wanted for some time and of course the large bottle of my favorite perfume Chloe along with the Tocca candle I ran out of a while back.

I got some gift cards so I've already started jotting down what I want. Something you realize when you're on the go is gift cards are real handy. I used up every gift card while I was on travel. Im thinking about saving my starbucks one for a rainy day. well I have 3 now so..haha. YAY. I will use my beauty store ones though! Hello good haircare and possibly my one skincare item I avoided getting due to the big price tag! Hoping everyone enjoyed their get-together!

Oh What the Heck...One Quick Post!

These make me happy. First off, I've never made it on time to score lip samples from Dior. EVER.
They just happen to be the ones I wanted to try so bad(not to mention posted about here on an occasion or two) On the right is the new winter edition white chocolate&peppermint popcorn from Angie's...YUM Just opened them a couple seconds after posting the pics. Yes, munching while I post. HAHAHA. Worth a try people!

annnd I don't know if anyone knows of the mistral winter berry soaps but they are amazing! They smell like heaven. My new thing is to use bar soaps that remind me of all things winter. Mistral's winter berry and L'occitane's shea honey are mind-blowing!
Ok I'm done...just had to share some great last minute gift ideas/get together with family items!

...And When the Plan Fails

Im sorry I had to laugh a little today. Long story short I have this amazing friend who always sends me stuff on special occasions: birthday, valentines day, christmas. Its just so sweet and so I wanted to be a good friend and my new thing is to ask for something under 20 bucks because its the recession ya know. So I had this item I read about that I wanted to try and I tell him what it is. His immediate response was "oh no Tiff I can't get you that for Christmas!"HAHA. He said it wasn't good enough for a Christmas gift. Awww.

So anyway...I'll have to ask santa for that. Im keeping things simple as of this year. Buying things useful and fun. I am sad to see my Tracie Martyn cleanser go(soon womp womp)but Im going on a smaller budget now so I can travel again. Im always on a hunt from great cleansers and exfoliators. I would probably still invest in a tube of exfoliKate. For me its between that and the Dr. Brandt's exfoliating cream. I quit exfoliating as often because its $$ but I will still do it once or twice a week. Im thinking i'll have to go down to once a week to make the tube last! Gotta do some running around between this weekend to the week before christmas so I can send off my cards and the package to my best friend. Busy Busy! Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and Kwanzaa in advance!

Empties and Newbies.

Im basically posting because Im hungry and for once, bored. I figured I could talk about random things. So here.we.go!(Im saying that in a very Billy on the street tone)Yesterday my dad who rarely complains goes "we need the tree out we need lights" so of course my mom was like "umm tonight?" Then my dad's like "if possible." She was real annoyed. I was like "mom where's your Christmas spirit" HAHA. My dad was like "YEAH" so long story short, he was all excited and had a hard time sleeping. My father really likes winter festivities I swear. The only thing Im real annoyed about are the new releases of artists and having to listen to those over the fun christmas songs. For example the Adele song and the Gwen Stefani one. Man---one play and I'm done. Its so bad it reminds me of that repetitive Emeli Sande song. I would never go out of my way to listen to all three of them. I also think Hello is inspired by Lionel Ritchie's Hello. Hmmm...and I love how some people are making why did the chicken cross the road jokes with Adele's song. Clever! Adele you are beautiful but your songs are boring me to sleep......

Here I am munching on this Nature Valley oatmeal square. Its a new one called banana bread & dark chocolate. The flavor is pretty good but the past few days have been hard on me. I've had nights where I just want to eat fried food so bad. Then I make a cup of coffee sip it and cry in a corner.HAHAHA
I do think cutting back on the sweet drinks have helped my bloating and weight. I've lost a few more pounds but the best part if losing the body fat. I can officially say I can wear an average XL jogging pants! My parents were giving me crap about my last comfy leggings I wore on a daily. So I finally threw that out. I also bought a new pair of modern lounge pants and they are quite nice and they fit nice. I was shocked how I don't have to have them hemmed.
I finally finished my huge bottle of caudalie beauty elixir and the devacurl no-poo such wonderful products that smell like heaven! Im just about done with my small bottle of one condition too. Sniff, sniff. Im currently use the two gold goodies. The caudalie premier cru elixir and embryolisse! Great combo for this dry winter weather. When that's not enough I spritz my face with something soothing. I wished I could get my hands on the Lindstrom mist...but Im being so picky about how I spend my money...hmm. Looks dreamy so does the blue cocoon. If only they had a cheaper price tag!

Always Tired.

I seriously think all that traveling and walking has really done a number on me because I sleep like its no ones business every day. If you remember I couldn't sleep to save my life for years. I guess it does help that I've lightened up and I've come up with a plan. HAHA. Im downsizing so a lot of my stuff I use in my day to day life is real close to empty so I put out some orders and got those back in stock. I tried a couple odds and ends to save money but those products were a bad match for my skin or hair. I have a hard time recovering from that so I save myself time and money but just going with what I know. Right now Im keeping it simple. I do the french girl thing. I'll use a cleansing water, wipe off my morning natural oils on my face with a cotton ball, wipe it again with a second cotton ball then I dab on some caudalie premier cru elixir. At night I'll wash with a nice cleanser then i'll spritz on some caudalie elixir(the mint spray)or just mix some embryolisse with the caudalie premier cru elixir and I just pass out.HAHA

Im always tired. I do miss the sunny days from time to time. The arthritis is definitely back and in full swing but I came back for many different reasons. The rent was a lot higher thanks to this douche that went back on his words. I wasn't going to live with someone I didn't know just to get cheaper rent and the temptations were bad. The stress of the first few days were so bad that even though I didn't steer from my diet I blew up in my midsection my skin had broke out...just bad-awful.
There were too much delicious foods and drinks, the rent was like 3 grand in a good area if I wanted everything included, I was offered a handful of jobs the first few days I was there just because my first language was japanese. In the end I could make it but everyone I loved had a different time zone laundry at night was lonely and I knew the bad temptations were everywhere. Whether it was food and drinks or the fancy stores. HAHA. I never went into my favorite stores even though I had the funds because I just love beautiful things. HAHA. I feel like when I would have a meltdown I probably find myself buying something I shouldn't just to get an emotional high which is not a good idea.
So...I thought about everything did some running around called people and got things taken care of. You forget if your family or friends live THAT far you can't go and see them or call them. Meeting all those great people there made the travel nice though. I will say that. The japanese people are amazing. So are the korean guys. I got to use my korean speaking skills first hand and turns out I'm good at that too because the guy I was talking to was like "YES!" then we both just laughed our butts off. I found out there is nothing I can't do alone and this trip was quite inspiring.

Anyway...Im ready for the new year and new plans. Im still downsizing. Got a bag full of donations! My dad also told me about our mutual friend's daughter who said "I bet you have a bag full of great samples from Tiffany" and I was like "uh oh better step up my game and fill up a gift bag full of samples now! HAHA. So I just finished that, got my new sets of christmas cards too! YAY.
Im on a mission. I've already found a possible replacement for my salon too! I've been busy! I was told I was no longer allowed to use coconut and castor oil as a hair mask at home because of the mess and whatnot SO Im going to finish up the cool morococcan oil one I'm using and i'll look into my options. Im leaning onto something more natural that smells good because..why not? The castor oil+coconut oil has done wonders to grow my hair out. Im pretty pleased of the outcome I will probably use the rest of the coconut oil on the tips of my hair or wipe my make up off with it. I would almost try to use it to make homemade popcorn but Im worried I'll screw that up and make a mess so for now thats a no-go.
Oh I can't wait to grab something delicious from starbucks today! I can't do coffee so something in the tea selection!
